Office Applications For Java Cell Phone

Most mobile phones support Java does not have an office. Support office is only on smartphones that have operating systems like Symbian, Windows Mobile, etc.. Surely this will be very inconvenient for the Java mobile phone users because they must always finish the job in front of the computer. Even so, we do not need to buy a smartphone as simply adding a small application we are able to type in the Java phone. I found a Java-based applications that can be used to typing on the Java phone.

We use an application called MobiWord that can be downloaded on the Internet for free. This application is only 34.2 Kb. So do not be too burdensome resource. Features very simple because only capable of basic functions of office type, save, delete, and send it. Here's a screenshot of it.

Seen there on 6 kinds of MobiWord menus. Function menus from left to right are described below.

  • New, used to start typing a new session
  • Open, used to open a document that had previously stored
  • Save, used to store documents
  • Send To, is used to send documents via e-mail
  • Setting, is used to adjust the font size, the default e-mail, file format and exit the application
  • Delete, used to delete documents that had previously stored

This application only supports 2 types of file formats are RTF and Plain Text and file formats must be supported by Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.org. If you want to get out of this application, do not be confused if you do not find the button to exit. Because to get out of the application, we must go to the Settings menu and select Exit.

Your browser may not support display of this image.

Unfortunately, the word processing features in this application is minimal, there is no feature Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.. Moreover, a hassle when we want to move the document to the computer because transfer facilities that can be used only via e-mail. So we have to manage e-mail on our cell phone before. But it is enough if we do not want more than nothing at all…
